The above annual rate covers the supply of six issues of the S.L.S. Journal during the calendar year. New members joining during the year may either pay the full subscription rate shown above and receive relevant back issues or a reduced rate after 1st July* for 3 issues of the Journal. New members paying a year’s subscription in October each year to receive the November Journal in addition.  New members joining after 1st November should enquire for new year's subscription rates if they are not already announced above.

The membership categories (Updated 29 Oct 2007)

ORDINARY: Available to persons over the age of 21 years on payment of an annual subscription as determined by Council. Members enjoy the full benefits of membership, i.e. Journal, Library, meetings, visits and have full voting powers.

JUNIOR Available to young persons between the ages of 14 and 20 years on payment of a reduced annual subscription as determined by Council. Members enjoy the full benefits of membership. Proof of age is required. On reaching the age of 21 Junior members would be expected to upgrade to Ordinary membership and pay that subscription at their next subscription renewal

FAMILY: Available where two or more members of the same family, residing at the same address, require only one copy of each Journal, on payment of an annual subscription as determined by Council. Each Family member enjoys the full benefits of membership and has full voting powers.
