4mm scale etched nameplates - Class 66 No 66 957
A run of etched replica nameplates in 4mm scale (1:76) is being released to the public by the well known railway modelling suppliers - Fox Transfers. . These will make a good commemorative souvenir of the Centenary in their own right and, of course, can also be used by members wishing to update the Bachmann 4mm model of the class 66 to be "our" engine. Please contact Fox Transfers direct.
NB the proposed special commission of a run of these plates by the SLS is therefore not now required and the proposal has been withdrawn.

2010
13 Jan - Not surprisingly given the adverse weather conditions updates to the meetings by centre page and the perpetual calendar. Unfortunately due to a family illness my free time is currently restricted and some other curently due updates will be slightly delayed for which I apologise - John New Webmaster.
2009
20 Dec - The centenary page updated with an amplified section covering the Centenary weekend including photographs. Additional photographs also added to our Members Only Yahoo Group. The presentation to the SLS of the LNWR Society's premier award for the restoration of Orion also added to the Orion page and above. Minor revisions to the site A to Z page. I have more new content to add to the site but it is unlikely time will be free for me to add thus now until after the Christmas/New Year break. I therefore take this opportunity to wish all site visitors a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year - John New SLS Webmaster.
19 Dec - Added details of two ex-GCR plates to the Nameplates heritage page and additional indexing entries added to the A to Z search page listings.
14 - 15 Dec - Updating underway to reflect the achievement of our Centenary milestone plus a routine update relating to the latest Journal etc. Firstly the AGM page is now reverting to the original purpose of carrying details of just that event and all the Centenary year event material has now been collated into a new Centenary page as a lasting souvenir of the year. Regrettably further entries have been made to the Obituaries page. As some additional stocks of our Little and Good (Great North of Scotland Railway) book have been obtained the publications for sale page also updated. The Journal page also updated for the Contents of the Nov/Dec edition plus the correction of a formatting bug on that page. The new cover image uploaded and the previous image added to the photos on freeview page.
9 Dec - All pages which carry details of the Centenary weekend details revised to reflect the coming weekend's celebrations. Update above to the nameplates offer as now that Fox Transfers are to produce the items for public sale the bespoke run is not required.
