Long term archiving of your Journal - Link to Journal contents archive
For members wishing to get their Journals bound for long term archival an option is to try D J Bookbinders of Dorset. They are a specialist transport magazine bookbinder established for over 30 years. The cost of binding a standard volume of the SLS Journal is £19.00 (6 issues + index. They have a wide range of colours available and would be happy to discuss any individual requirements as regards extra lettering etc. Personal callers are always welcome, but if you are unable to visit, they offer a postal service. Information for members re-delays, replacement Journals etc
Replacement and/or damaged copies of the Journal & Newsletter are now dealt with by the Membership Secretary and not the Librarian. The Membership Secretary’s address is printed inside the front cover of the Journal. Will members also note that the date shown for publication of each issue is the date that the Journal leaves the printers and not delivery date to members. Therefore please allow 14 days from the publication date before enquiring about non-receipt.
Fortunately difficulties of this nature are infrequent at present and our printers are always very keen to adhere to the agreed schedules. - Editor.
